Rumours are always labelled as such, hedged in the text ("reportedly", "according to reports"), and tied to at least one cited source. We don't publish anonymous-only transfer whispers.
We don't quietly delete posts. If a story moves on, a newer post can supersede the old one; the original stays readable by link. Dedicated Retracted posts are part of the design and roll out as the retraction flow ships.
If nothing clears our bar in the last hour, the slot stays empty. We'd rather leave a gap than fill it with filler.
