What's encouraged
We built Hangout FC to promote slower, source-driven sports engagement. We welcome you to:
- Use our feeds, monitoring lines, and analysis tools to study leagues, tactics, player transfers, injuries, and storylines.
- Quote short snippets with a clear link back to Hangout FC.
- Publish or distribute your Press Box content on external channels — including commercial newsletters, personal channels, or monetised blogs.
Account and access abuse
You must not:
- Share your account or 6-digit sign-in code with others. One account per person.
- Bypass paywalls, plan gates, safety filters, rate limits, Play limits, or Signals limits.
- Use automated crawling, scraping, harvesting, or mirroring to download our databases, feeds, or source packages wholesale.
- Reverse-engineer, probe, or try to extract our prompts, model parameters, or API configurations.
Content misuse
When using our workspace features or publishing work derived from Hangout FC, you must not create, host, or link to content involving:
- Defamatory statements, unbacked allegations, or rumours presented as verified fact.
- Harassment, doxxing, stalking, intimidation, threats, or hate speech targeted at athletes, journalists, leagues, or other members.
- Highly invasive private information or personal records about real people.
- Minors in sensitive, exploitative, or abusive contexts.
- Automated information presented as professional medical, legal, financial, or gambling/betting advice.
Using the AI tools
The Booth, Dossiers, Press Box, and Signals are AI-powered. The system gives an explicit refusal when prompts contain:
- Off-topic entries unrelated to sports (e.g. general politics, non-sport finance).
- Jailbreaks, prompt injections, or hidden instructions meant to bypass safety or sourcing rules.
- Spam, impersonation, or content designed to mislead audiences about who created it.
What happens if you cross a line
We review policy issues based on your history, severity, and system threat. Enforcement measures include:
- First instance, low severity:we'll email you, explain the boundary crossed, and ask you to stop.
- Content issue: we may hide, delete, restrict, or refuse to distribute content that breaks these rules.
- Serious or repeated: we may restrict a feature, suspend access, or close your account — including for payment fraud, illegal acts, or repeated warnings — without voluntary refunds.
If you believe an enforcement action was a mistake, please use our contact form and choose "Legal or copyright". We'll review it.
We do not provide voluntary refunds for accounts suspended or terminated for breaking these rules, except where required by law.
